We had some amazing baked brie a while back, and all I could think was, this would be even more awesome with bacon. Now I've never made this, but this is how I plan to for this bacon day...
1 block of brie
crumbled bacon (a few slices should do the trick)
brown sugar
crumbled walnuts
Puff Pastry
Cut the brie through the middle and cover the bottom half with the brown sugar, crumbled walnuts, and crumbled bacon. Wrap the brie with the puff pastry and place in the oven at 375 until the puff pastry is golden brown. Serve with crackers and bread.

HOW DID IT GO?
ReplyDeleteIt went really well. I also added cranberries to it, and I have to say I think it was wonderful. I had extra pastry dough left over which I then used to make bacon rolls. Some I added cheese too, others I made sweet with brown sugar. Next time I think I might use more bacon though. If you try it, let us know how it went and if you made other variations.
