Caramelized Bacon

I love caramel, caramelized onions, caramel corn (but only from the MN state fair), caramel apples, and now I think I might have to add caramelized bacon to the list. From the good people at Land O Lakes comes the recipe of caramelized bacon. Combining sweet and savory, this has moved to the top of my favorite foods list, although I only need one to satisfy my sweet and savory tooth. I bet this would be good with apple pie (maybe as the crust?)....Hmm, I might have to work on this idea for this year's Bacon Day.
